Visa in New Zealand for International Students
For non-native English speakers planning to study in New Zealand for more than three months, a valid student visa is required. Before applying for a visa, students should research universities or colleges, courses, eligibility criteria, entry dates, application deadlines, and language requirements. The following are some key considerations for a visa application: an offer letter from the institution, proof of funds, a police certificate of good character (PCC), proof of accommodation, a medical certificate, and health insurance, among others. The student visa application fee must be paid when applying for the visa. The main intakes for study in New Zealand are in February and July, with some programs starting in September. Students can apply for a visa and submit required documents within 90 days prior to the start date of their program.
